Seriously? 8 months old already? Wow, in 2 weeks she will have been out of my tummy as long as she was in my tummy. That is crazy. These past 8 months have been THE best. She is SUCH a drama queen. I don't know where that came from...me perhaps? Yes I think so -- I KNOW so. She thinks she is so much bigger than she really is. She is so strong willed and always wants the opposite of what you are doing or giving her (besides the boob or food of course.) And she is so BUSY BUSY.
Some fun things about her:
-She has always loved standing, but loves it even more now that she can pull herself up. Which she does A LOT now. Night time and nap time is such a joy. (kidding) She pulls herself up and can't get down without totally falling over so she starts crying - and then I have to go in and lay her back down. We moved her crib down lower a few days ago. 2 of my friends babies have fallen out of their crib and it just made me super nervous and scared me too much I didn't want that happening to her. Oh well, she likes it better now cause she can see out without having to pull her bumper pads down! :)
Here's the crib before we moved it lower. She is on her knees here.
And the crib moved lower!Such a BIG girl!
-She will only do a few crawls and then back to her frog hop scoot. Maybe one day she will realize crawling is so much easier. :) My friend told me her baby learned to crawl cause he didn't like being on the tile in his diaper. I tried that -- no success. She didn't mind it and kept scooting.
-She is quite the little UNPICKY eater. She has loved everything I have given her. 2 days ago I started giving her a little yogurt. She loves it! And puffs are her FAVORITE. She can eat like 20 of them on just a couple minutes. And then stars yelling at me to give her more.
She also loves being in her high chair.
-She loves playing with her feet now more than ever before. Or eating her toes. She pulls them up by her face while on her back or grabs her feet and leans over to eat her toes while she is sitting. YUM.
Dang blogger uploaded this pic sideways. Oh well.
-She claps at everything now! It is so cute. And it makes a little noise when she claps. Adorable. and I am trying to teach her how to wave bye-bye.
-When she is upset or wants something she says 'Ma-Ma' and when she is super happy she says 'Da-Da' I really think she knows what she is saying. She is too smart not to. The other day was SO funny. She was really tired and fussy and was scooting across the floor towards me and says, 'Mommeeee.' haha. I was SO funny we were laughing pretty hard.
-She is learning to climb. She can climb up the bottom stair and is trying to figure out how to continue up the stairs. She is one smart girl -- she will learn how to very quickly.
-Her favorite things to watch are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Baby Beethoven and Baby Mozart. She just stares at the TV and gets super excited.
-She is starting to get separation anxiety. When Kelly or I leave the room she starts fussing. And when one of us isn't in the room and she knows we are there she looks or scoots around trying to find us.
-Her 2 bottom teeth show a TON now. They are so dang cute! Her top ones are going to come in VERY soon. She did so well teeting with the bottom 2 but the top ones are really bothering her and she is fussier.
-She still gets up once a night to nurse. She is only up to eat and right back to sleep and I don't think this is going to change any time soon. She was sick a couple weeks ago and ever since then going to sleep at night is a LOT of work. She used to go down between 7:30-8 - some nights now she will go to sleep about 8, sleep for like 45 minutes max and then be up till 10:30 or 11. I am really hoping this will change. I am trying so hard to get her back in her old routine! Nap time is still GOOD thankfully. AND in the mornings she sleeps till 9:30 (yay)!
I could go on and on...I have such a beautiful and wonderful baby girl. She is my world and I hope one day she knows it. She is growing way too fast and I am cherishing every stage in her life. I can't believe it's the countown to her 1st birthday! And before I know it she will be standing on her own, walking, and talking. Some days I wish she was so teeny tiny again but I am so glad she is how big she is right now because I can play with her and giggle with her. I love her little fingers and toes. I love when she touches my face with her little fingers. I love feeling her hair on her cute little head. I love her little teeth smile. I love her giggles, her cries, and her screams. This girl makes my life a heaven on earth.
I love you Rylee Laurel Giles!
