Days without Mommy

As I sit here at work bored out of my mind thinking about my baby wishing I was home with her I am thinking...I am thinking about all those other Mom's in the world that HAVE to work full time and can never be with their children during the day. It must be so HARD for them. I have only had to do it for 4 days so far and it has been the hardest 4 days! I feel so LUCKY that I only have to work for a month and then can be with my baby all day again. I miss her so much. It is so FUN every night coming home and seeing her. She looks at me and smiles really big and then just snuggles with me till she gets fussy and is ready for her bath! I bet all day she is wondering where I am because she was with me 24/7 for 4 whole months! Thank goodness I have great friends and family and DADDY who can watch her! This morning she is with my good friend Samantha. I just got this picture at work. It is so cute! Rylee and Zayda will be such good friends. :) Rylee's face cracks me up! Cute little girlies! And this is Rylee and Milo on Tuesday. Both me and Milo's Mommy were working so they spent the day with their Daddy's. They both zonked out going on a walk. They are so cute!

After today is 4 days down and only 22 days to go!

Guess who is 4 months?!

Yep, that's right! My itty bitty baby Rylee is 4 months old today! And I am not there to spend the day with her. Today is my first day back to work. It was SO hard leaving her this morning. Looking at her in her crib sound asleep and so sweet...it made me want to cry. BUT I am only working for a month and then quitting. I have to work at least 30 days or else I would have to pay BYU back about $4,000...that is the money they paid for my insurance while I was on leave. I decided it would be worth it to just work the 30 days and then quit rather than pay back 4 grand out of our pocket!

Daddy is with Rylee most days and then will work in the evenings, so that makes it so much easier leaving her. Ever since she was born I would pump and give her a bottle at least once a week to just get her used to it. Well, yesterday she would not take one in the morning and I was getting so nervous! But we just waited till she was super hungry and she did just fine. Thank goodness! So she is just eating the milk that I have frozen and I am just pumping a couple times at work because I DON'T want to stop breastfeeding. No way Jose.

Anyway...back to my post about Rylee. :) She is getting so BIG. She thinks she is big stuff that's for sure! She is the cutest baby EVER and I am so blessed to be her Mommy.

Some fun things about my little girly...

She loves loves loves bath time. I have said it before, but it is by far her favorite time of day.

She loves standing up (still) and looking around. She is the most observant baby. She looks at people and things like she is trying to figure them out. It is so so cute.

She still has stranger danger most of the time but is getting better.

She can fall asleep by herself now...well, most of the time.

She rubs her eyes so hard when she is tired. I just think it is the cutest thing EVER.

She constantly sucks on her fingers/fist and even her lip. She is teething. And sometimes she will bite her gums together. It is so funny.

When she isn't getting what she wants or you aren't doing something right she will throw her arms and head back and fuss and then stop and look at you and do it again. She is quite the drama queen!

She giggles quite a bit but it takes quite a bit to get her giggling. She does however fake cough ALL THE TIME. It is hilarious.

She constantly uses her hands now. She grabs everything. Especially my shirt when I am nursing her. All the necks on my shirts are stretched out...haha. I have to be careful when eating with her on my lap or else my plate will be on my lap along with her.

She does SO much better in the carseat now. Only cries when it is 8-ish and she is ready for her bath and bed. Other than that she just either sits in the carseat not making a peep or she falls asleep.

She can sit by herself so much better now. She used to freak out when I would put her down but now she entertains herself. Being able to use her hands has helped SO much. When she is laying down she tries to sit up it is so funny!

She loves being outside. I wonder if she will still love it when it's super freezing? Maybe?

She is getting so close to sitting up! She can roll from front to back. She is such a strong little girl. She could even hold her head up the day she was born.

She loves being where there is lots of action going on. She just loves looking around. She loves noise.

She gets startled super easy. She was kinda squirming one night in her crib so I went to check on her and move her back to the middle of the crib and I scared her so so bad! She started screaming. I felt terrible! She had no clue I was there.

She scoots herself all over the place now. I will put her on one part of the floor or in her crib and I will come back and she will be on a completely different part of the floor and will be turned the opposite way and at the end of her crib. It is so funny.

She ALWAYS sleeps with her hands above her head.

When she wakes up in the morning she just lays in her crib talking to herself. I love to just listen to her.

AND...TODAY MY BIG GIRL ROLLED FROM BACK TO FRONT!!!

There is so much more about this little cutie of mine but I won't make this post any longer than it is. I just LOVE her little developing personality and watching her get bigger and bigger. Being a Mom is the biggest blessing in my life and I am so grateful I was blessed with my baby. I can't wait to be with her all day again!!!

Wheeler Farm

So, I totally feel like a blogging loser. No one ever comments! I know I blog for myself, but I never get comments and it makes me sad! :(

BUT...I still blog. I guess my blog is just lame?

So here is post #2 of the day.

This evening I went up to Wheeler Farm with my sister, her little boy Sam, and Rylee. It was fun! Even though she is so little, we still had a blast. We went on a wagon ride and she loved it. She just looked around as we were driving and just enjoyed the outdoors. When we saw the animals she just stared at them like what are those things? It was so cute. It was such a fun day and I am glad I finally got to hang out with my sister. She lives in West Valley City and so we never really get to see each other.

Here are some pictures of the fun evening. I am sad we totally forgot to get a picture of the 4 of us!
Here is me, Rylee, and my nephew SamSam on the tractor! On the wagon ride!Rylee loving the wagon ride!
Sam playing with the goatsI guess that wore her out! I had to turn her around cause she was falling asleep!

My Scariest Moment

This morning was probably one of the scariest moments I have had being a parent...possibly ever. Rylee is always has a pretty stuffy nose in the morning so every morning I suck it out. This morning I started sucking it out...nothing was coming out and she was getting mad so I stopped. Then all of a sudden she gagged a few times and then she wouldn't breathe. I think some snot got stuck in her airway and made it so she couldn't breathe out of her nose. She wouldn't breathe out of her mouth and couldn't breathe out of her nose. She just sat there trying so hard to breathe and kept getting more and more spit in her mouth and it was all over her lips. Thank goodness Kelly was there because I was panicking and crying and didn't know what to do. He grabbed her from me and was trying to help her and I just kept saying, "Are you ok?! Are you ok?!" and crying. He said we need to take her to instacare! We live right around the corner from it...good thing. We ran to the garage and were about to get into the car and then she started breathing again. Oh my gosh I can't even say in words how scary it was but it was terrifying. I can't even imagine what I would do if something happened to Rylee. I am so glad she is okay...and I am scared to death to suck her nose out ever again. And pretty sure we need to take a CPR class because it has been forever since we both took one and need to be refreshed on it cause we may need to do CPR oneday...especially now that we have a baby.

This is her smiling and talking to Daddy this morning right after she woke up. Just had to share cause it is so cute. :)

MY BIG GIRL...and a surprise in the garage

Rylee always tries to sit up now it is so so funny. She lifts her legs and her head and part of her back and tightens her face up and tries so hard to get up. Funny girl! I just had to share this little video of her.

And...scary story I have to share. Last night (Sunday night...which was when I started this post but never finished...) Kelly came inside from the garage. He said, "Umm this is scary! Come here." I followed him outside. He had some mirrors up against the wall he just finished and pointed to one of them and said, "Look what's right there." I looked...and saw a black widow. He said, "Look what's right THERE." He pointed and I looked at Rylee's stroller. Umm okay anyone reading this that has their stroller in the garage MOVE IT. How scary! That black widow could have been hiding in my baby's stroller and could have bit her if I put her in it. That would definitely kill a baby. HOW SCARY!!! Kelly is gonna check it all over really good later when he gets home and I am keeping the dang thing in the back of my car! Don't worry that I watch everywhere I walk now and am totally paranoid we have a black widow in our house somewhere. Haha. Last night I pretty much slept with my head under the covers. Yes, I am a wuss but I don't care!

4 Years Ago Today...

My best friend asked me to be his wife for Time and all Eternity... I am so glad I said yes! He has given me so much and does so much for me and our little family. I am so grateful to have him. I wouldn't have the cutest and sweetest and most precious little girl. I wouldn't have my sweet little family if it wasn't for him. Thank you babe! Thank you for all you do for our family and for being the best husband and father anyone could ask for! This is the day we got engaged. October 9, 2006.

Filling Out the Car Seat!

So...I just had to share these pictures. Rylee has grown so much and comparing pictures of her in her car seat definitely show it! She fills it out so much more than she did when she was first born! I am going to take a picture of her every month in her car seat to see how much she grows.
