We got Rylee's newborn pictures taken when she was 2 weeks old. These are a few of my favorites...and her cute birth announcements as well!

2 month check up

Rylee had her 2 month check up today...

It's crazy comparing her length, weight, and head circumference from birth till now

At birth:

Weight: 7 lbs 6 oz

Length: 19 inches

Head Circumference: 13.25 inches

Now, at 2 months:

Weight: 11 lbs 3 oz (64th percentile)

Length: 22.75 inches (66th percentile)

Head Circumference: 14.7 inches (15th percentile)

I thought for sure she was going to weigh more than 11 pounds! She is such a cute little chunker. She did so good with her shots too. She didn't cry any harder than she has before and stopped crying right after I picked her up and then went right to sleep. Now I understand why Mom's would leave my work crying after their babies got shots! It is so so sad! But I didn't cry...I thought I might. I was so sad for her and dreading today all day yesterday, but now it's over. She has been asleep for over an hour now so we'll see how she is when she wakes up and this evening as well.

It's so crazy to see how much more she fills out the car seat now!

2 months!

Happy 2 months to my baby! I can't believe you have been with us for 2 months! Definitely the best 2 months of our lives!

8 weeks

I really can't believe how fast this little girl is growing. She is 8 weeks old today...2 months next week on the 25th. I absolutely love watching her grow and get bigger. She has such a cute little personality already and I love learning new things about her every day. I am pretty sure she is "attached" to me...most of the time she cries if I am not holding her. Sometimes even if Daddy is holding her she cries unless I take her. We definitely need to try and work on that because we won't be able to leave her if she cries without me/us around. She won't take a binky either and that really stinks! She really does well with tummy time though and just laying there and a lot of the time she will just lay there and look around. But she definitely gets in those moods where she just wants me to hold her. She is a really happy baby a lot of the time and won't cry unless she is tired, doesn't feel good, or is hungry or messy. Some other fun things about her...she loves to be naked. She loves just laying there naked...she is so super happy! Most of the time she loves her car seat and riding in the car. EXCEPT when we stop driving she starts crying. haha. The longest she has now gone is 6 hours at night between feedings. That has only been a couple times though. Of course. :) She LOVES LOVES LOVES her bath. Every night around 7 pm is her "fussy time". She starts crying. She knows it is her bath time. As soon as I put her in the bath she stops crying and will just sit there in the bath happy as can be. But as soon as I take her out she gets a little mad. :) She is pretty much on a set schedule now. I bath her about 8 pm and she, without fail, will fall asleep at 10. Then she will wake up about 2:30 and then again at 6 to eat and is back to sleep again and sleeps till 10 or 11 most days. She takes a lot of naps every day and some days will be asleep almost the entire day and still sleeps really good at night. She hates laying down like a baby still and will get really mad unless you have her sitting up looking around. Whenever I am holding her with her head facing me on my shoulder she will keep moving her head closer to mine until it is almost smooshed against my face it's so funny. She is always grabbing things now. I was taking her out of her car seat today and she totally grabbed the strap and held on so tight I had to break her grip! She holds her head up so so good now and can sit in her bumbo chair really good! She still is quite the little eater and eats every 2 or 3 hours still. Most of the time she likes to eat a little bit at a time so I am feeding her constantly all day long in little bits. Funny girl. Whenever she is sleeping she always has her hands up by her face and her hands are always right above her head when she is asleep in her cradle. When she is in her carseat or swing and is relaxed, her fingers are all spread apart it's so cute. Her favorite place to be is outside and I take her outside alot. She is starting to smile and coo it's so cute! And she is always trying to "talk" to us. We just love this little girl so much! We love every little changing thing about her and learning more about her everyday. I am so excited to keep watching her grow! I love being her Mommy so much!!

Rylee's blessing day

Her beautiful dress! Made of cotton eyelet lace fabric...with satin around the sleeves and the chest. My mother in law is so talented and I am so glad she made her dress!Our little family!Everyone at the blessing...except Scott who was taking the picture. :)My beautiful girl in her white dress. Yesterday, Sunday August 8th was Rylee's blessing. Grandma Bonnie made her blessing dress! She looked absolutely beautiful in it! Her blessing was SO beautiful. Daddy did such an amazing job and made me bawl like a baby! I was stressing all week that she would cry through the whole blessing because she hates laying down unless she is falling asleep, but the luck was on our side and she fell asleep right before the meeting started and slept through all of Sacrament Meeting! After the blessing we had brunch in Kelly's parents yard. We had lots of yummy fruit, breakfast casserole, different breads, juice, and milk. It was such a fun day! We were planning on getting more pictures of Rylee in her dress and some with family, etc but she pooped all over her dress before we were able to!! I was feeding her and then she pooped...really loud...and pooped again. I sat there thinking please oh please tell me that stayed in her diaper. All of a sudden I felt warm on my leg, slowly rolled her over, and saw the mess ALL over her white dress! DANG IT! It just had to happen...haha. Oh well. At least we got a few of her on her special day. Thank you Kelly for being such a wonderful father and holding the priesthood so you could bless our precious baby. You gave the most beautiful blessing I have ever heard. I am so lucky to have you as my husband and Rylee is so lucky to have you as her father.
And these were taken last night. I thought they were so cute and had to share!

Poor girl!

Took my baby to the doc tonight...
Poor girl can hardly breathe...is all congested and her eye is all red and a little puffy

She has been congested since she was born

We took her to the doc when she was 3 weeks old for her congestion

They said it was just newborn congestion

So I have just been sucking her nose out constantly

A few nights I had her sleep in her bouncer so she was sitting up

Last night she was up every hour cause she couldn't breathe

I noticed her eye was all puffy too

Well tonight the doc said the same thing...she is too little for any medications

And she is also too little for it to be allergies which is what we thought it maybe was

So all I can do is keep sucking out her nose and have her sleep propped up

All of which I have been doing

He also said I could buy a vaporizer to keep in the room

So I went and bought one

Hopefully it eventually passes and doesn't last 3 months like he said it could

It's so sad watching her struggle to breath...she gets so frustrated

And her eye...he said to just watch it

Get better sweet girl!

And on a positive note...Rylee weighs 9 lbs 15 oz!!! Way to go baby girl!
