What We've Been Up To

Well I haven't blogged in a while...almost 2 months. And pretty much all my posts are about Rylee. That is my life though, so you can't expect much more than that. But this post will be about me and Kelly and what we have been up to! Kelly has been working really hard building up his business. He keeps getting more and more business which has been amazing and such a huge blessing for our family. He has had his website up for a while now...you should check it out here. He keeps coming up with new designs and ideas for his business. He is so talented and such a hard worker I am so proud of him and we are so lucky to have such an amazing man with us forever! Kelly is still playing Basketball with his friends on Wednesday nights and has been running outside a lot since this weather is so heavenly!
As for me...I have been working about 10 hours a week at Buckle. Lately I've only been working every other week. Yes, I work at Buckle and have for almost a year.. Just so I can get 40% off super CUTE clothes and get out of the house a couple evenings a week. And I love it! I love all the people I work with and it's nice to get some adult interaction. I have also sloooowly been working on projects, so stay tuned for some pictures. I am still going to Zumba 3 times a week and just started Bunco in January with a bunch of my neighbor girls...we have a lot of fun together! I also just cut five inches off my hair! It feels so good and so fresh and a nice change. I've always had my hair long so it's a way nice change. I usually have my hair up in a ponytail so I couldn't find a good before picture but here it is now. I LOVE IT. It isn't super short and isn't super long like it was before. It's perfect.

Almost 21 Months

What a BIG girl Rylee has become. Never did I think she would get as big as she is now as fast as she has. She is talking so much now saying SEVERAL new words everyday. She loves playing outside and we are outside almost all day on the really warm days. She hates coming inside when it's lunch and nap time. She loves "bubbows." She always wants to do bubbles when we're outside and always wants them in her bath now.
She loves to watch tv...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or her favorite movie Toy Story 3. And loves to wear her shoes all day. This day she insisted on wearing one of her boots.
She loves to copy what you are doing or what you are saying. I love this picture. Don't mind Kelly's grungy work clothes. :)
She loves to "help" Mommy vacuum. She also loves to help me load the clothes in the washer. I hand them to her one at a time and she excitedly throws them in for me. She is such a good worker and is so happy to do anything to you ask her to do.
She loves wearing shoes. I have dozens of pictures of her in different shoes but I love her face in this one.
She loves playing with new things. Playdoh was a mistake...not doing this again til she is older. :) She also loves to "caaa" (color). I bought her a huge coloring book but of course she loves to color on the coffee table instead. Good thing crayon comes right off.
She loves popcorn and movie nights.
She loves to have her hair fixed. I do too. I love that it's growing now and I can actually do something with it now. Don't you love those curls?!
She loves her new "dackis." (glasses) She is constantly wearing them. Love it.
I will keep this post short and sweet. I just randomly grabbed a few pictures of her lately and a few fun things about her. She has quite the personality and I am just enjoying watching her grow so much right now. In just a few short months she will be turning 2! Unbelievable. Time flies. And I can't wait for her 2nd birthday. It is going to be amazing...I can't wait to start planning it!

Las Vegas

At the end of February Kelly and I took a much needed getaway to Las Vegas. It was my first time leaving Rylee overnight so as you can imagine, I was a nervous wreck. I knew she'd be ok, it was just really hard for me. It was just for 3 nights but that seemed like way too long. My good friend Samantha watched her the first night at my mom and dad in law watched her the other 2 nights. I was a nervous wreck up until the second we dropped her off...when she wouldn't even give me a hug or kiss goodbye. She loves Samantha so she ran right to her and wouldn't let go. Then I knew she'd be just fine and I'd be just fine. What a FUN time we had together. It was so nice to be just the 2 of us for almost 4 days and to get a fun break from parenting.

We went and saw Blue Man Group while we were there and wow, what a waste of time and money. So many of my friends and family members really liked it. We didn't. At all. Maybe we just were expecting it to be completely different than it was, but either way, we just didn't enjoy it.

We stayed at The Golden Nugget. It's on Fremont Street and it was a really nice hotel. Really nice rooms and very inexpensive. There was a big pool with a waterslide in the middle...the waterslide was in the middle of a huge tank with sharks. Amazing. There was also a HUGE area outside around the pool that we could just hang out at. Lots of couches and chairs. We sat outside some of the time and just talked. We also sat in the hot tub 2 of the 3 nights. Huge hot tub.

I suck at taking pictures sometimes and I really hate asking random people to take pictures for me so this is all we got.
This is one of the nights when we sat outside.

In the Cosmopolitan...gorgeous new hotel!
Although we had a lot of fun getting away it was SO nice to get home to see Rylee. I had my alarm set Sunday morning for 6 a.m. so we could be sure to be out of there by no later than 8 a.m. I was way too excited to see Rylee to leave a minute later.
