July 4th

Besides Christmas, the 4th of July is definitely my favorite holiday. I have so many memories from the 4th of July growing up. It is a tradition to always go to the parade with my family, but we decided not to go this year. Kelly, Rylee and I went to Seven Peaks instead. We had TONS of fun swimming together and going down a slide (Rylee wasn't so sure what to think about the slide) but now I kinda wish we would have gone to the parade. Oh well, we still had a FUN day together!

After we got back from swimming Kelly took a nap, Rylee talked in her crib for an hour, and I got ready. I was so surprised she didn't go to sleep. She never does that! I guess she was having way too much fun. :) At 4 we had hamburgers and lots of other yummy food at Kelly's grandma's. Here is Rylee playing with Kelly's cousins. She LOVES Jake and Callum. They always play hard together.

When we got home at about 7, Kelly sat on the couch with Rylee and she fell right to sleep. She was so tired. Too bad she only got to sleep for about 30 minutes or so cause we went and watched the fireworks over on BYU campus.
I hate this picture of me! Kelly and Rylee look cute though. :)
Biting her nails like usual - ugh. So sad she is only 2 and bites her nails.
She did not like the fireworks. She says, "Fiye - beket!" (Fire - blanket) She wanted to cover her head the whole time cause she was scared. We finally started asking her what colors each one was and then she was ok. She loved the Art City Days fireworks, but we were a lot farther away from those.

It was such a fun day! Looking forward to next year.

Rylee is TWO!

Rylee's 2nd birthday was yesterday the 25th. Although she was sick (poor girl) she was a little trooper and we still had her party in the evening. She was definitely not feeling good and was really cranky. I'm glad we just went ahead and did it anyway because now I don't have to worry about it anymore. My friend at the party asked me, "Are you excited for tomorrow?" I asked, "What's tomorrow?" She replied, "Not today." HA HA. Oh yes, this is exactly how I feel today. Although I am quite the party planner and have to have everything perfect, I am glad it is over. I have to have everything matching perfectly. When I went to pick up Rylee's cake and the blue wasn't the exact color I had in mind, I seriously let it bug me. It still looked way cute though! Love how it turned out. She did a great job. I even ordered plates and napkins to match the blue...not sure how we didn't get a picture but we didn't! You can see the plate in the picture of Rylee eating her cake though. :) That's how picky I am. The plates and napkins HAD to match.

I love planning Rylee's birthdays though. Just the 2 she has had so far were so fun!

Thanks to my friend Kim for coming to the party and taking pictures! I was grateful I didn't have to worry about taking pictures on top of everything else. On my previous post there is a link to her photography blog.

The cute little sign I made.

Poor girl did not feel very good.

Kelly refinished this little rocking chair for her. I am in LOVE with it!

Cute little VANS shoes from Uncle Scott!

I think it's safe to say her favorite gift was her "stoway" (stroller -- she can't say her R's). I definitely should have waited to open this last...whoops.

Rylee's little car from my parents. She is in love with the one at my parents they just had to get her one of her own.

We tried to get a picture of her with all her gifts -- fail. She was so done by the end of the party. She did get a bunch of good stuff though! Lucky girl!

Don't mind how ghostly white we look -- and Rylee just looks miserable. Poor baby.

Rylee's 2 Year Pictures

I am so behind on posting. I need to post about Easter, Mother's Day, Birthdays, and just our summer so far. I will get to it soon, but for now I HAD to post Rylee's 2 year pictures. I can't believe she will be TWO in just over a week! My neighbor and friend took her pictures and she did such a great job. Especially since the entire time Rylee was saying, "I done!" over and over. Thanks to the stool Kim brought Rylee couldn't get down so she was stuck and had to get her pictures taken. :) And I love her pink lace romper she brought for the pictures. LOVE IT! Thank you again Kim, I love Rylee's pictures!
