Hogle Zoo

Yesterday we went to Hogle Zoo together! It was pretty fun. Rylee didn't feel super well (we realized that as we were driving) and the weather was a little cold and rainy but we still had a lot of fun as a family. It was nice to get out together and do something different! Rylee wasn't as thrilled about the animals as we thought she would be but she still liked seeing them. I think her not feeling well had a lot to do with it. It was a nice morning and we loved visiting all the animals!

FUN weekend!

This weekend was so much fun! We had the Tuttle Family Reunion (Kelly's Mom's side of the family) up Hobble Creek Canyon. Most of the family came, but there were some missing - including all Rylee's cousins. Rylee had so much fun with Callum (Kelly's cousin). She just follows him around and he absolutely adores her. I love watching them play together.

The first night we just played outside, ate dinner, and hung out around the campfire. Grandma and Grandpa told us stories from their childhood and we ate treats, roasted campfire eclairs, cooked popcorn, and told jokes. Callum is hilarious and told joke after joke and we were all laughing so hard.

I was nervous about Rylee sleeping. I didn't know how well she'd go to sleep or if she would even sleep all night but she definitely surprised me! I layed her down in the tent and she was out like a light immediately and slept all night long until probably right before 8 a.m. She didn't even wake up once all night! Kelly and I have sleeping bags that zip together so she just slept between us. We stayed toasy warm. :) When she woke up she didn't know what to think. She started crying saying, "I wanna go home!" It was so sad. She was probably cold and confused.

Saturday morning we got up and make breakfast burritos (yum!) and played outside for a while then and went for a short hike up the mountain. Rylee stayed behind and colored with those that stayed. When we got back we made bracelets for our craft, made caramel apples, played kickball and back to make lunch. We had taco salad for lunch (yum again!) and cleaned up, hung out for a bit longer and then headed home.

It was a fun filled weekend and Rylee was out before we even got out of the canyon. We got home and wanted to go for a run together but Rylee was so out cold we couldn't wake her up. Kelly went running and then I went running when he got home. Had to run off some of the stuff we ate this weekend! :)
Rylee wouldn't eat for me - only for Callum. He would ask her, "Which one next?" and
she would point to the piece of hotdog she wanted next saying, "dis one!" and he would feed it to her. Hilarious.
Helping set up the tent
Roasting marshmallows with Grandma. It was so cold but the little stinker would not keep her coat on.
Dirty face means she's having fun!
So cozy
Just woke up
Sitting in the truck to warm up
Loving breakfast. Yummy breakfast burritos.

So sleepy
Right before playing kickball. She loves her Uncle!
Sweet pic right? I love that you can even see the ball

All of us right before leaving
Our little family. Rylee was beat.
Out before we even got out of the canyon
We got home and unloaded the truck while she continued to sleep in the truck.
Kelly brought her inside and she stayed asleep on the couch for a while.

I am so glad we finally got to go camping. We have been wanting to go SO bad but just never planned a camping trip this summer. Rylee loved it and I really wish we would have taken her before now! Can't wait til next summer - we will go lots!

I just have to put this up. I am SO proud of myself. I have been working so hard exercising to get back in shape. The first picture is me 6 months after having Rylee (she is now almost 27 months old) and the bottom one was taken last night. When Rylee was just over 7 months old (February 2011) I started going to Zumba and have been going twice, sometimes 3 times a week since then. I ran a little bit here and there but starting this Spring I started going running a ton on top of going to Zumba. The entire month of May I went almost every single morning and sometimes went twice a day and sometimes went twice a day AND went to Zumba (exercising 3 times a day - yikes!) I have been feeling so great and seeing these pictures and comparing them makes me feel so good about myself. I am so proud of myself with the way I look and how hard I have been working. It definitely pays off! :)

Yay! Go me!

Feeding the Ducks

Last Tuesday night we took Rylee to feed the ducks. Sadly, it was our first time ever taking her! It was one of those things we really wanted to do just never did it. She had a BLAST. She was so stinking excited she kept jumping so much it was almost a bounce and we thought for sure she would bounce right into the water. It was so dang funny. We will definitely be going again!

Vegas baby!

What a FUN few days we have had! We went with our good friends Adam and Erin to Vegas. We left Sunday morning and just got back this evening. It was a nice relaxing few days without the kids. We swam, shopped (for less than a half hour), ate yummy food, watched a movie, played several games of Ticket to Ride, and went to a show! The drive down was LOOOOOONG. We were stuck in the canyon past Mesquite for about 2 hours. Stupid construction. At least we had Ticket to Ride on Adam's iPad that kept us entertained! We played 3 games on the way to Vegas and 4 games on the way back. Erin is so good at it I had to beat her! I did beat her twice and almost a third time. She begged me not to go out so I didn't...then she beat me by like 10 points! I am too nice. :)
Driving to Vegas

Sunday night we went to dinner and went swimming and to the hot tub for a bit. There were some crazy drunk people in the pool. It was funny for the first little bit but then it got old (for me) so we left and sat in the hot tub before going back to the room. It was HOT in Vegas - like 115. At least we didn't have to be outside much other than walking a short distance and when we were in the pool. Monday morning we went to breakfast at Original Pancake house and came back to the hotel and went swimming for a bit and that night we went to dinner at Lucille's BBQ. It was yummy! After dinner we went and got cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory, went back to the hotel and sat in Adam and Erin's room and ate cheesecake and watched a movie. After the movie we played 1 game of Ticket to Ride while laughing our heads off (that was a FUN night), went to the hot tub, and came back and played 1 more game of Ticket to Ride. Erin wins every game I HAD to beat her! We were seriously up til like 3 or 4 in the morning. That next day we were so tired ha ha! Tuesday morning Kelly and I went swimming and then came back to the room and got ready. We all went to lunch, over to the strip to buy tickets to a show and that night we went to Outback Steakhouse and then to the show. Before we left Kelly and I were waiting downstairs for Adam and Erin. There was a row of 5 cent slot machines so Kelly put a dollar in and used 3 credits (15 cents) all the sudden the machine keeps dinging over and over and wouldn't stop. We won $51! It was hilarious. The show we saw was Cirque du Soleil Mystere. It was AMAZING!!! After it was over we went back to the hotel and went to bed cause we got up early this morning to go to breakfast and then head home. It was a fun little getaway! So glad we got to spend some time with our friends without kids. :) We are so happy to be home with Rylee now -- we missed her! She had so much fun with Grandma and Papa and has some major sleep to catch up on. I am glad she got to spend some time with them though. She is so so lucky to have two sets of grandparents (and great-grandparents) that love her so much! This evening when I was cleaning out my car Rylee was sitting in the car with me. She jumps over the seat and sits on my lap and looks at me and says, "Mommy I missed you!" She is such a sweetheart. I love my girl SO much!
Waiting in line for the show -- I especially love the people in the back smiling.

Waiting for the show to start!

July 4th

Besides Christmas, the 4th of July is definitely my favorite holiday. I have so many memories from the 4th of July growing up. It is a tradition to always go to the parade with my family, but we decided not to go this year. Kelly, Rylee and I went to Seven Peaks instead. We had TONS of fun swimming together and going down a slide (Rylee wasn't so sure what to think about the slide) but now I kinda wish we would have gone to the parade. Oh well, we still had a FUN day together!

After we got back from swimming Kelly took a nap, Rylee talked in her crib for an hour, and I got ready. I was so surprised she didn't go to sleep. She never does that! I guess she was having way too much fun. :) At 4 we had hamburgers and lots of other yummy food at Kelly's grandma's. Here is Rylee playing with Kelly's cousins. She LOVES Jake and Callum. They always play hard together.

When we got home at about 7, Kelly sat on the couch with Rylee and she fell right to sleep. She was so tired. Too bad she only got to sleep for about 30 minutes or so cause we went and watched the fireworks over on BYU campus.
I hate this picture of me! Kelly and Rylee look cute though. :)
Biting her nails like usual - ugh. So sad she is only 2 and bites her nails.
She did not like the fireworks. She says, "Fiye - beket!" (Fire - blanket) She wanted to cover her head the whole time cause she was scared. We finally started asking her what colors each one was and then she was ok. She loved the Art City Days fireworks, but we were a lot farther away from those.

It was such a fun day! Looking forward to next year.
